The Telling: Advocate & Family Listening Session
A ReSELient Storytelling Experience
Virtual | May 6, 2026 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
The Telling returns in a new form.
This virtual Advocate & Family Listening Session is an intentional space for reflection, storytelling, and alignment as we strengthen the Black SEL Advocate Program.
This is not a presentation. It is not a survey. It is a conversation.
We are gathering Advocates and their families to reflect on what has felt meaningful, what has felt challenging, and what we want this space to become in the next cycle following Summer Institute.
Together, we will explore:
• When connection feels strongest
• What makes engagement sustainable
• Preferred meeting days, times, and formats
• Parent communication rhythms
• Youth interest in deeper leadership pathways
• Barriers to consistent participation
Through guided storytelling, breakout conversations, and collective reflection, we will surface themes that directly inform calendar planning, leadership development lanes, parent engagement structure, and communication cadence.
Our goal is clarity. Our goal is retention. Our goal is deeper emotional investment in the Advocate community.
Advocates and at least one family member are strongly encouraged to attend.
Registration is required.
The Zoom link will be sent upon confirmation.
We look forward to building what comes next together.
